My name is Rose Rhemrev-Pieters and I have been working as a plastic surgeon since 2006. I was trained in the Netherlands at the academic hospitals of Utrecht, Maastricht and Rotterdam. After my training, I worked in various hospitals and independent treatment centers both in the Netherlands and abroad and I now have more than 20 years of experience. The common thread in these years has been breast surgery, both aesthetic and reconstructive. I believe in focus in healthcare: by doing something a lot, you gain more experience and therefore the quality of care improves. In addition to my work for Boerhaave, I work at the Alexander Monro hospital, a hospital specialized in the treatment of women with breast cancer and where my focus is on breast reconstructions. Everyone is different and because I have had the opportunity to look into 'different kitchens' I have also learned that several options are often possible to meet a patient's needs.
