Make an appointment

The treatments at the Boerhaave clinic fall within the scope of medical care. We therefore remain open for this purpose and your planned appointment will go ahead. If this appointment regrettably has to be changed, we will of course get in contact with you. We would ask you to avoid any further spread and possible contamination of Covid-19 as far as possible and to read through the following preventive measures. Your cooperation is appreciated, so that we can together ensure that the clinic environment remains as safe as possible. You can therefore be assured of what to expect in the clinic.

  • Please can you contact us if you can answer ‘yes’ to any of the following questions:
Have you got a fever, cough, a blocked or runny nose and/or sore throat or does someone living in the same house as you have these symptoms?
If you have any of these symptoms, a (new) appointment will be arranged for you once you have recovered; this means that you (or the people you live with) must be symptom-free for at least 24 hours. If you have none of these symptoms, then the appointment can proceed as normal.
  • On arrival at the clinic, you will again be asked whether you have any of the above symptoms and your temperature will be taken. If you have a fever and/or other relevant health issues, your appointment or treatment will be postponed.
  • We kindly ask for you to come on your own. Companions are not generally allowed in the clinic and they are asked to wait outside (or, for example, in the car). The same applies to anyone coming to pick you up after your treatment.
  • A mutual distance of at least 1.5 metres is maintained in the waiting room. The waiting rooms have been adapted to help ensure this.
  • You are requested to arrive at the agreed time exactly. If you are early, we would ask you to wait outside or in the car.
  • When you come through the main entrance, you will be asked to wash your hands using the washing facilities provided for this purpose.
  • There is a “no shaking hands” policy in place at the clinic.
  • We would ask you to pay by PIN or contactless. Any cash payments will have to be made exactly, as no change will be given.
  • The clinic’s activities are performed by medical specialists assisted by medical support staff. Medical specialists and medical support staff belong to the category of close-contact professions with expertise in preventing infection. They have received training familiarising them with infection prevention measures and how to comply with them. Our staff are also required, each day, to report any symptoms they may have and to have their temperature taken.
  • We ask for your understanding in following the instructions given by our staff with a view to ensuring safe and responsible health care. In this respect, please take the opportunity now to read our house rules.
  • We would kindly ask you to wear a facemask in our clinic. If you do not have one, you can pick one up from our reception desk.

Have you received an invitation to be vaccinated and are you planning to have an operation with us under general anaesthetic? If so, please make sure that the vaccination is scheduled for preferably one week, and at the very least two days, prior to the surgery. This will ensure that you are not still suffering from any side effects at the time of the operation. So always let us know if you have already been vaccinated. Are you planning to be vaccinated after your operation? Then you can be vaccinated as normal, even if you will have had a general anaesthetic.

It is also possible to schedule an e-consult with the plastic surgeon. For more detailed information, please consult our information page.

We hope we have provided you with sufficient information and look forward to seeing you back at our clinic. If you still have questions, you can contact us any day between 7.00 and 22.00 hrs on telephone number +31 (0)88 400 0200.
